Pokemon GO is a phenomenon that has lured hordes of players out of their houses to capture, battle and train the cartoon characters in real-world environments. This app uses your phone’s GPS to detect where your location in the game, allowing you to catch Pokemon through your phone’s screen, which appears around you in the real world.
Since it requires you to always have the screen on, along with the GPS tracking and data enabled, it ends up being a huge drain on your battery. Niantic Developers is aware of the issues and they’re looking for solutions, but in the meantime, here are the best ways to extend battery life on your Android device and allow you to enjoy Pokemon Go for hours.

1. Enable Battery Safe Mode

This game has a built-in Battery Saver mode that is designed to dim your screen and slow the refresh rate while you’re walking. It works really well as long as you remember to use it. When this mode is enabled, the game will dim your phone’s screen when you point the top of your phone towards the ground (e.g. like you would do when holding the phone down at your side while walking) and you will get vibration notifications when a Pokemon pops up on screen for you to catch.
To enable Battery Saver, tap ‘Poke Ball’ at the bottom of the screen, then go to ‘Settings’ in the upper right corner and turn on ‘Battery Saver’.

2. Turn Off Augmented Reality (AR) Feature
The Augmented Reality (AR) that lets you see a Pokemon on the sidewalk in front of you is really cool, but if you want to save battery life and catch Pokemon a little easier, it’s better to just turn this feature off.
You can turn off AR by hitting the AR switch in the upper right corner of the screen when you encounter a Pokemon.

3. Reduce Screen Brightness
This is one of the best ways to save battery life in general, not only for playing Pokemon Go. The only downside is turning down the brightness may make it harder to see what’s happening on the screen, especially if you’re playing outside in direct sunlight.
On Android, you can pull down the Quick Settings by swiping down from the top menu bar with two fingers and then adjusting the brightness slider or by going to Settings > Display > Brightness level and adjusting from there.
4. Turn Off Music and Sound Effects
You can also conserve power by turning off all the music and sound effects. These things eat up a little bit of battery life that adds up over the course of a play session. To turn them off, tap the ‘Poke Ball’ and go to the ‘Settings’ menu then uncheck ‘Music’ and ‘Sound Effects’.
5. Get a Battery Pack
If you’re often going out and hunting down Pokemon for hours, then investing in a portable battery pack might be your best bet. It can make sure that your phone doesn’t die just as you are about to capture the Pokemon you’ve been hunting for hours. This may be the easiest way to ensure that you can get hours of fun out of the app before being forced to head back to home and recharge your phone. All battery packs are not made equal, so be sure to do your homework before purchasing one.

Google Play tips and tricks every Android user needs to know

1. Install an app that isn't available in your country
If you're really keen to get an app that's not available in your country then you can still get your hands on it by using a VPN. 'VPN' means 'virtual private network'. It gives you a secure internet connection via private networks in locations outside of your current one.
Basically, a VPN service can make it look like you're accessing the internet from a different location. It's important that you choose a credible VPN. We regularly feature VPN deals in our AndroidPIT Store if you're looking for a good one at a low price.
Once you've downloaded a VPN, select the country whose Play Store you want to access in the VPN app, get the VPN up and running, then open the Play Store app. It should land on the Play Store homepage of the country you selected. Now you can get the app you desire.

2. Manage your apps in the Play Store
The Google Play store has an area called 'My apps & games'. From here you can look at which apps you've downloaded, which were pre-loaded and the apps that you need to update. This is an excellent place to manage your apps within the Play Store and getting to it is easy.
Open up the Google Play Store on your Android device. Open the menu (the three horizontal lines at the top left of your screen). Under the Apps & Games section you'll see the My apps and & games link, tap this. Now you should see a list of your installed apps.
From here you can hit the button Update All in the top right hand corner of your screen. You can monitor what you've downloaded and manage these apps. If you go into the All section you can see which apps were on your device and what could be removed.

3. Put a parental lock on Google Play
If you don't want your child or dependent downloading inappropriate apps on the Play Store you can set up parental controls to prevent your Android device from being misused. This could include games with copious amounts of violence or gore. Apps that could put them in danger like dating apps or chats that give out their location.
It's easy to put a parental lock on the Google Play Store. First, open the Play Store and tap the menu icon. Go into the Settings and tap Parental controls and hit the slider so it says 'On'. From there you will be asked to create a parental lock PIN code. Create one and then go through the list of things you can download on the Play Store and tap the ones you want to set restrictions for.
Once the restrictions are set, your child or dependent will need to enter your PIN code each time they try to download something that triggers the restriction. As they get older and are able to handle more content you can go back in and change their privileges.

4. Get refunds on the Google Play Store
You can get refunds for Play Store purchases with a single tap; so long as you do it within two hours of buying the app. This should be plenty of time to find out if that new weather app actually works, or whether that game is as fun as the garish pictures made it out to be.
Once you've purchased an app, on its Play Store page you'll see options to Install or Open. In addition, a Refund option should appear to the left of it. Tap the refund button within two hours of your purchase to get your money back, no questions asked.
If you notice that a child or dependent made this purchase without permission you can always change their privileges. Just head into the Play Store, tap the menu icon and hit Settings. Toggle Require authentication for purchases then choose For all purchases through Google Play on this device.

5. Check out the 'Indie Corner'
Both big and small developers are important for a vibrant Android app ecosystem. The big developers are not struggling, it's the small developers who have difficulties. Part of the problem is that it can be tricky to find independent apps. But now there is the Indie Corner in the Google Play Store.
Indie Corner can't be found from withi

Phone geeks must have been wondering why suddenly Phone manufacturers switched to non-removable battery. Some of us don’t really like the facts that most smartphones company now produces non removable battery devices. I’vebeen privileged to interact with different individual regarding their choice of smartphone and majority of them prefers removable while some don’t really care.

You’ll notice that the use of Universal charger isgradually going out of the market and being replaced with Power banks because most devicesnow have inbuilt battery.

Personally, I don’t like devices with inbuilt batterybecause when it eventually lags you have to waitfor the battery to run down before you can restart it (what if your device is like that of Ouikitel K10000 whose battery can last you for10days without charging, meaning you have to wait for 15days before you restart it?). What if you device fall into water or hot pepper soup, how will you dry it if you can’t remove the battery? That may be the end

.*Removable battery is easy to replace*
It is easy to Hard Restart*
Phones with inbuilt battery are slimmer and lighter with unibody design

Manufacturers don’t want you to tamper with the battery and integral part of the phone thatis why they keep producing non removable battery devices.

Over to you… Tell us your experience with removable and not removable battery smartphones you’ve used before and which do you prefer?

Android Instant App: How to Run Android Apps Without Installing Them

Imagine a world where you can use any Android app without actually the need to download or even install it on your smartphone. No installation required. Just tap the URL  and the apps open even if the user doesn’t have the full app installed.

This is the world the god of the network intend to offer you … the world called instant App!
Google realized that downloading an app is a real pain in the ass sometimes when you don't want to install the complete app on your smartphone.

Announced at Google I/O event on Wednesday, Android Instant Apps will break down the walls between websites and Android apps by allowing people to tap on a URL and open an Android app instantly, without even having to install it.

If you close an Instant App, it’s essentially gone. It technically lives on in your cache for a few hours.
It will be available for Android users later this year, and the good news is that Instant app features will work on Android 4.2 Jellybean and later.

This is why Android rules the system! If you are not on Android, you are wrong.

Telecom Companies always has a way to extort money out of every subscriber. Even if you don’t have plans to recharge your phone, they’ll give you an offer that will make you recharge your smartphone. I remember fully well when MTNlaunched xtratime, that allow you to borrow money and pay later. A lot of people borrowed money and to pay back became a bone of contention.

Now Again, MTN has launched another offer called Xtrabytes… that allow you to borrow data and pay later on your next recharge.

Facts You Must Know About MTN XtraBytes

7. The data you borrowed has the same expiry date as your normal data bundle.

The question is why will you want to borrow data from MTN? Considering the facts that data is everywhere at a more cheaper rate regardless of the category you fall, you can always get data.

So tell us why will you want to borrow data from MTN?

You already know the drill—when you’re trying to conceive you can’t leave the house without seeing pregnant bellies. Every time you turn on the TV there’s a sweet baby in a diaper commercial staring back at you. You always seem to spot at least four newborns snuggled up in carriers perched on top of grocery carts when you run into the supermarket.
Whether you’re a few months into trying or are thinking about starting a family soon (here are nine things to do before you conceive), you know doubt have babies on the brain. By now you likely know that many of us don’t get pregnant the first time we try. But what might be surprising news is that there are fertility saboteurs that can wreak havoc on your chances of conceiving. Here’s how to deal with five that could be obstructing your road to baby bliss.

1. Stress
When you mention to friends and family that you’re “trying,” you’ll almost guaranteed to hear someone say, “Just relax and it will happen.” Easier said than done. Stress, good or bad, is going to take its toll on you both physically and mentally. According to naturopathic doctor Via Bitidis, co-director of the North Toronto Naturopathic Clinic, balance and calm are a crucial part of trying to conceive. “When you’re stressed your adrenal system takes a hit. Your body isn’t going to say, ‘Okay, let’s get pregnant.’ Learning to say no and to take time for yourself is important for improving your chances of having a baby.” Megan Karnis, medical director of The ONE Fertility Clinic in Burlington, Ont., agrees with a word of caution: “A lot of women think the best thing to do when you’re stressed is to take time off work. In my experience, that doesn’t help, because it makes a woman feel she has to get pregnant in that time and then the stress to get pregnant is so much higher,” she says. Instead of altering your day-to-day routine entirely, Karnis recommends counselling, art therapy, meditation and exercise to reduce stress levels.

2. Sleep deprivation
You already know that catching an adequate number of zzz’s makes that morning department meeting more bearable, but here’s another reason to get yourself to bed before the wee hours. Sleep deprivation puts stress on the body (there’s that pesky s-word again) and when you’re tired, you don’t run on all cylinders. “For people who don’t get enough sleep, their immune systems are down a little bit and they’re more likely to get infections, which will affect the reproductive cycle,” Karnis says. “This applies to men as well. Infections can cause fever and that excess heat can damage the sperm temporarily,” she says. “Women who don’t get enough sleep can also start to feel anxious, which may cause missed periods.” Keeping yourself healthy is the baby bottom line, so set the PVR to record Mad Men and enforce a new bedtime.

3. Weight issues
A woman who is underweight or overweight may have some difficulty conceiving a baby. “An undernourished body may not ovulate properly,” says Bitidis. On the other hand, excess weight can have a significant effect on fertility. “Just being over your ideal weight decreases your chance of getting pregnant even if you are ovulating regularly,” says Karnis. “The further you stray above 25 on the Body Mass Index, the worse it gets.” Maintaining a healthy diet and developing a reasonable exercise routine will do wonders for your mind and body,” Bitidis adds.

4. Cycle confusion
“A lot of women don’t understand their own cycles,” says Bitidis. Most of us were taught the typical 28-day cycle in health class back in high school, but every woman is different and cycles vary in length. “The biggest thing is timing,” Karnis says. “We teach women that ovulation is two weeks before your period. Most people think that it’s two weeks after, but that’s only if you have a four-week cycle,” she says. You’ll have better luck conceiving if you monitor ovulation and start having s33x at the right time. “We also teach people about sperm life—they can live for three days in the cervix, so you don’t have to have s33x on the day of ovulation, it could be the day before. We also find that a lot of people don’t know that lubricant decreases sperm motility and transfer, so you shouldn’t use lubricant when you’re trying to get pregnant,” says Karnis.

5. Biofeedback
“Keeping a positive attitude is incredibly important. There is a huge mind-body connection. Try not to listen to the negative stories and try to be patient,” Bitidis advises. Preparing for pregnancy up to a year in advance may be a good idea if you’re planning to start a family in the near future, that way you can focus on making lifestyle changes. If you’re trying now, remember that it can take time—experts say up to a year— to conceive. If you’re concerned that it has taken too long, speak to your healthcare provider about your options for fertility counselling and treatment.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s has been blasted by a mother of the abducted Chibok girls, Esther Yakubu, who said Buhari’s administration is “more clueless than Jonathan’s government.”

Crying out in pain, Esther made the remark after sighting her daughter in the new video released by the Boko Haram insurgents demanding swap of their detained members with the Chibok girls.

“The Chibok girls must be rescued, they must have their lives, the future that Boko Haram tries to truncate. more clueless than Jonathan’s.” Esther said.

Boko Haram released the video yesterday as it sent another message to the Nigerian Army. The girls who were abducted in 2014 from their dormitory in Chibok, Borno State and has been held as prisoners for two years now.

Punch revealed that Esther said though she wanted the best educationally for her daughter, but regretted putting her in boarding school.
“I wanted her to have the best of education, I planned to sponsor her education to whatever level she wanted, but she could not sit for her final examinations because she was abducted.
“Boko Haram in the video asked the government to release their members so that they could release our girls. If the government knows that it cannot handle the insurgency, it should invite other countries. It is not a crime to seek assistance in a war. It is a shame for them to allow our daughters to languish in captivity for over two years.

“I don’t regret sending her to school, but I regret putting her in boarding school. If she was a day student, she would be home with me that night. The abduction affected her because she was in boarding school,” she said

No matter how you carefully handle your Android device, when the time comes for it to misbehave, it will definitely misbehave without your permission. There are all manner of fixes for various Android misbehavior's.

This time around, it is for those whose device is not coming up again after interrupting the flashing process while using SP Flashtool.

One thing you should know about SP flash tool is that once you interrupt the flashing or read back process, either by unknowing touching the USB cable or something else, the phone will go off and not come on at all. You might get the "USB device not recognized" error on further flashing attempts.
This will result into a totally dead phone.

How to Fix a Totally deadly Android Phone Like Tecno, Infinix Gionee or Any Other in MTK Family
>>Connect the dead phone to a computer (via a USB cord) or power source and leave it to charge for some time. It could take up to two hours  or more but once the phone is revived, your battery could read as low as 1% .
>>Just leave it to keep charging before powering it up.

You Can Also Speed Things up by Doing The Below:
>>Remove the battery of the dead phone
>> Connect the phone to a charger without battery inside
>> Slot in the battery while the phone is still connected to the charger
* You could keep pressing the Volume up + Power button while charging
* You could remove and boost the battery using a desktop / external charger then resume internal charging.
>>Uninstall then re-install MTK  vcom drivers you’ve earlier on installed on your PC computer.
Happy Fixing!

How To Solve Problem Of Glo Data Network Not Displaying 3G/EDGE/GPRS/HSDPA
People using the glo 0.0kb have been complaining to me that they suddenly discovered that their data network which are the 3G,4G,H+,Edge and Gprs are no more displaying.
The network sign would show but no indication of data connection. I have successfully found two solutions to resolve that immediately and perfectly and that will be treated in this topic.
The first method deals with the suspension of your Glo line from accessing the internet and in here, you will be able to activate it using these steps below.
Load a recharge card or if you have already, then buy 30mb for 50naira by sending 14 to 127 as text message and immediately you have successfully purchased the data plan and it Valids for 1day. As shown below;
Then immediately your Glo network will come back to life again and then you can start blazing with your Glo 0.0kb unlimited free browsing again without paying a dime just like before.
>>Second method to resolve your Glo data network issue
   This method deals with your apn settings because I know many people like changing their APN settings always even with wrong or not configured ones so you can also resolve the glo data network not displaying issue with this settings below;
Go to the your SETTINGS
Then click on mobile network or cellular network
Then click on Access point and names
Next is to click on RESET APN TO DEFAULT
So your apn will come back like the normal apn settings that has been configured by glo network for your device.
So you can now use a better good apn like Glosecure,Gloflat and many others.
So with that, you will be able to overcome the glo data network not displaying issue and you can start blazing!
Was it helpful? Did you encounter any problem while trying to set this up, kindly ask more questions below and if it works for you kindly share your experience!
